Custom Mold Quote Request

Thank you for considering the Chicago School of Mold Making for your custom mold project.

We are eager to send your price quotation to you as quickly as possible. To avoid errors in our estimating process, please take a few minutes to help us understand the details of your project. The information you provide will remain confidential to our team. Following is a brief outline of how the custom molding process works.

  1. We review your quote request (via questionnaire below) and provide a cost estimate.
  2. You review and approve cost estimate and production schedule etc.
  3. We finalize the design work, creating sketches or drawings if needed.
  4. You review and approve the drawings or plans (verify measurements, etc).
  5. We sculpt or build your 3D shape for molding.
  6. You review and approve the 3D shape/sculpture via emailed pictures or studio visit.
  7. We create a test mold (if required) and ship it to you.
  8. You review and approve test mold and request revisions if needed.
  9. We create a silicone mold with the ‘negative impression/s’ of your 3D shape.
  10. We ship to you!

Here at the Chicago School of Mold Making, we make molds for companies and individuals around the world every day. We understand your personal expertise may be in other areas aside from mold making. For this reason, our goal is to respect your busy schedule and make the process as simple as possible. At the same time, if your project has tight deadlines, we need you to be timely with your approvals, reviews and payment schedules. We look forward to working with you!
